audaxes Participates in SAP Solution Acceptance Test for SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse Management

SAP EWM Partner Test for S/4HANA 2025 FPS02

For another consecutive year, audaxes is invited by SAP to participate in the Solution Acceptance Test (SAT) for SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). The invitation once again underlines audaxes’s expertise in SAP supply chain management solutions and our close collaboration with SAP.

From 15 to 26 June 2026, the audaxes team joined SAP product experts and representatives from selected SAP partners across Europe, North America, Africa and Australia to validate the latest innovations planned for EWM in SAP S/4HANA 2025 Feature Package Stack 02 (FPS02) before their official release.

The Solution Acceptance Test provides selected partner companies with early access to new functionalities, enabling them to evaluate business scenarios in realistic environments, identify potential improvements and provide direct feedback to SAP’s product development teams. This collaborative approach helps ensure that new capabilities meet the practical requirements of organizations running SAP solutions worldwide.

Beyond the technical testing, the event offered valuable opportunities to exchange ideas with fellow SAP EWM specialists, product owners and developers. These discussions provided deeper insights into SAP’s product roadmap and emerging trends in warehouse management, while allowing participants to contribute directly to the evolution of the SAP EWM solution.

Highlights from SAP S/4HANA 2025 FPS02 for EWM

During the Solution Acceptance Test, we evaluated a wide range of new capabilities designed to further enhance warehouse operations. Among the most notable innovations are:

Artificial Intelligence with Joule

SAP continues to integrate artificial intelligence into warehouse operations through Joule – the SAP AI assistant. Warehouse staff can interact with the system using natural language to retrieve information, create warehouse tasks or confirm activities. By reducing the need to navigate multiple transactions, Joule can greatly simplify daily warehouse operations and improve user productivity.

Advanced Shipping and Receiving (ASR)

Further enhancements to Advanced Shipping and Receiving strengthen end-to-end integration between Transportation Management (TM), ERP and EWM. Improvements include expanded support for kit-to-order scenarios, outbound delivery order (ODO) splitting and enhanced customs processes.  By integrating Global Trade Services (GTS) via a Business Add-In (BAdI), compliance risks are reduced while process transparency is improved.

Pick Path Optimization

New simulation and visualization capabilities allow warehouse operators to compare different picking routes before execution. These enhancements are particularly valuable in high-volume e-commerce environments, where optimized picking paths can significantly improve operational efficiency.

Advanced Returns Management (ARM)

The new ARM follow-up process seamlessly connects returns processing with refurbishment activities. High-value returned products can be transferred directly from the inspection process into refurbishment using maintenance for production orders. This helps organizations reduce scrap, preserve product value and support more sustainable operations.

Quality Management (QM)

The new Quality Management features ensure that sampling and quality decisions during goods receipt accurately reflect the actual delivery situation, helping to strengthen process compliance. Sample sizes can be determined based on containers, while partial usage decisions can be prevented until the required quality certificates are available.

OData API for Wave Management

The new A2X OData API enables external applications to access and manage warehouse waves. Third-party systems can read, modify, simulate and release waves, creating new possibilities for automation and more efficient outbound warehouse processes.
